In Per Suit of Change: Rhonda E. Willingham’s MenzFit Benefit
Featured Tuesday, October 20th, 2009

Job hunting is extremely challenging for most people. However, it is more demanding when a job applicant lacks confidence, or is unable to present what is considered an acceptable business image for employment. Employers often make judgments about a candidate in seconds, and appearance plays a major role in securing employment.
For many men who may be experiencing unemployment issues, MenzFit is available for their rescue. Located in both Washington DC and Philadelphia, PA, MenzFit takes an active yet innovative role in assisting the underserved population especially in this increasingly competitive job market.
Several well dressed philanthropic Washingtonians suited for change made their way to the rooftop of the Donovan House in support of MenzFit and its mission.

Founded in 2001 by Rhonda E. Willingham, MenzFit has helped more than 3,000 men compete for jobs whereby 60 percent remain employed today. Lady Willingham has uniquely addressed the employment needs of low–income men that began as a relatively simple concept: give a suit and a start to low-income men. “We know the kind of boost that comes with a new suit, something so simple can allow someone to dream, to believe in themselves and their worth again,” says Willingham.
Hosted by media and fashion personality, Paul Wharton and Erika Gutierrez, the event brought some of the who’s who in Washington.
Other guests in attendance included: Theo Bell, Gina Brown, Keisha Banks, Leila Pray, Angel Brown, Flavius Galiber, Theodore Whilite, Mary Feely Barth, Holly Wharton Camp, Sasha Horne, Donnell Kearney, Alexandria Simms, Lily Mazahery & Levonia Wiggins, Jr.
