This year the event offered a VIP Chef’s Tasting room where guests sampled savory treats and pasta creations from the DC area’s top chefs: Chef Cathal Armstrong of Restaurant Eve, Chef RJ Cooper of Vidalia, Chef Robert Wiedmaier of Marcel’s, Brasserie Beck, and Brabo, and Chef Todd Gray of Equinox Restaurant and Salamander Hospitality. Katie Githens author of “The Dog Lover’s Companion to Washington DC” provided autograph copies of her book and donated 100 percent of the proceeds to the Washington Humane Society. This was truley a fun and exciting event. And if you didn’t watch your champagne intake you could have easily mistaken some of the doggie treats for human ingestion they all looked so delicious.
