Generation O! A Toast to the Washington National Opera’s “Porgy and Bess”

On Wednesday February 3, members of the Washington National Opera’s Generation O gathered at they very chic CoCo Sala  to celebrate the return of  WNO’s upcoming critically acclaimed production Porgy and Bess.  From 2005, the original production has traveled the country and is returning to DC as the first production of the spring season on March 30-April 3. 

Generation O Advisory Council  Members:       

 Amy Wong, Giselle Pole, Richard M. Weinberg & Morgan Ortagus

Generation O is a membership program that provides specially subsidized tickets to young professional between the ages of 18 and 35 to WNO’s season performances.  Attendees received complimentary Porgy and Bess  commentary CD’s and networked throughout the evening.

Founded in 2007, provides Generation O Advisory Council has held a variety of successful events, including the Spring Strauss Soiree in May 2007, where the cast of Elektra dropped in, and the Pre-Performance Reception to the Fall 2008 Young Artist Performance of La Traviata, where Plácido Domingo made a special guest appearance.
