Avoice in Action: An Intimate Conversation With Congresswoman Donna M. Christensen

On Tuesday May 11, 2010 the fourth gathering in the Avoice in Action series was held featuring Congresswoman Donna M. Christensen.  The evenings discussion was led by  Tonya Speed, CBCF Corporate Advisory Council and founder of Washington Premier Consulting. The conversation was geared towards the history of the Congressional Black Caucus involvement in health care legislation and reform.  Congresswoman Christensen spoke about the significance of the recent passing of the health care reform bill and what it will mean for the underprivileged and under served. 

The Avoice Team

Avoice in Action is a series of intimate gatherings held by the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s Avoice Project in preparation for the 40th anniversary of the Congressional Black Caucus in 2011. Each event features a current CBC member discussing an issue that was of interest to the founding members of the CBC in 1971 and remains at the top of the CBC legislative agenda today.
