About Our Founder & Publisher
“Charitable giving is fashionable” says Pamela L. Pressley, Founder & Publisher of TheCotillionOnline.com. After realizing there was a need to further demonstrate and celebrate diversity in giving, Pamela founded the online news resource and membership organization as a way to highlight and promote the philanthropic and cultural enrichment activities she had witness along her path of giving back to the community.
“According to the Network for Good, a processor of online charitable donations for more than 1 million nonprofits, online donors tends to be young with a median age of 38 with the most generous online donors coming from Washington, D.C., New York, and Connecticut. I thought, what a better way to further engage a community of online givers than by creating a platform so that they could learn about up and coming opportunities to give back while also encouraging the next generation of charitable givers.”
Philanthropist and entrepreneur, Pamela is a graduate of Howard University School of Social Work.
